Brisbane born artist Colley Whisson has been recognised over a career spanning several decades as one of Australia’s finest Impressionistic painters. A 3rd generation artist (his father, Eric was also a celebrated painter), Colley began painting in oil at the age of 20 and held his first solo exhibition at 24. Since then he has had over 25 solo exhibitions and his work has been published widely. The subjects of his paintings vary from the landscapes of his native Australia, to works inspired by his extensive international travels.
