Captioned in elegant copperplate script at bottom ‘Two bunches a penny primroses, two bunches a penny’ and French translation ‘A un sol mes deux poignees de primrose, a un sol’. From the original painted by Francis Wheatley (1747-1801), R.A. Undated but appears to be late 18th century. Available for local pickup, otherwise courier to be arranged and paid for by bidder.
