Pastel on board, 48 x 37.5cm (image), 50 x 40cm (frame). A modishly dressed young woman, reminiscent of Elizabeth II in her youth, shown seated with crossed legs, yellow tie and red pocket handkerchief. Signed cryptically at lower right ‘E. M.’ and beneath ‘M. G.’ – initials presumably indicate the sitter and artist. Although not an exact likeness, a speculative attribution regarding the subject could indeed be Elizabeth Mountbatten-Windsor. Artwork in nice condition, the frame aged and somewhat loose. Available for local pickup, otherwise courier to be arranged and paid for by bidder.
