Born in Austria and arriving in Australia at an early age, celebrated artist Werner Filipich has been painting professionally since 1970. His love for his country is imbued in his landscape paintings, iconic scenes and figurative work. Known for an adept use of distinctly Australian colour palettes combined with a crisp and refreshing style, his work is esteemed by art lovers and collectors. A recipient of many awards, Filipich is represented in numerous collections throughout Australia and overseas, and continues to enjoy popular acclaim. Werner is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of History and Art, and has also been endorsed as a Fellow of the Royal Art Society.
