Mule restrike copper penny, size 34mm, 13.38g, from deteriorated dies, weak in places, as struck, otherwise extremely fine with traces of mint red, very rare, (A.118/R.129/HR26).

Side note: *Dies were clearly deteriorated and all examples seen have had some striking weakness. Sharples notes that there are two different die axis settings for these types, suggesting they were re-struck on two occasions.
